Job Description


MSI General is seeking a experienced commercial construction Project Superintendent to join our teamfor multiple 3-4 month duration retail buildouts. We are one of the first fully integrated design/build construction firms in Wisconsin, with over 60 years of continuous profitability delivering excellence in design, estimating, and construction management.  We would like to find a qualified Project Superintendent to supervise day-to-day activities on commercial construction sites.  This position develops strategy and plans leading to successful, on-time and in-budget completion of construction projects.  Qualified candidates must have general knowledge of all aspects of constructing a building, including, but not limited to, site work, concrete, masonry, steel enclosure, finishes, and mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop schedules
  • Review & interpret drawings and submittals
  • Manage job site safety and cleanliness
  • Maintain copies of drawings and subcontractor submittals
  • Communicate with subcontractors, team members, workers & owners
  • Handle all questions, concerns, or conflicts on the plans or in the field promptly
  • Review and approve subcontractor invoices for completed work
  • Report on job status at the weekly company job progress meeting
  • Maintain close contact with the owner or owner’s representative in the field
  • Issue Field Work Authorization Notices for new work
  • Attend project meetings, run regular weekly and special subcontractor coordination meetings
 Qualifications:
  • B.S. Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
  • Or 5-7 years of construction supervision management
